We took a path leading uphill from Starbotton and walked along above
the fields to Kettlewell
By now the rain had come on rather harder
Looking back to Starbotton
The meander in the RIver Wharfe was a major feature in the valley
and there where was a farm, sheep, walls and
ruins.
The valley is divided into a lot of fairly narrow fields running down
to the river - marked by the line of trees
I think the map calls this 'Paradise'
Eventually we could see Kettlewell in the distance
and slowly got closer
We went past the shop to cross Kettlewell Beck rather than take the
direct route to Dale House
and then turned right here to walk back towards Dale House
