The official procession has to stop at the top of Whitehall as protesters
from No Pride in War lie down on the road
and refuse to move
'No Pride in War'
'But Pride Just Died'
after holding up the main procession for around 15 minutes the people lying
on the floor got up after police threatened them with arrest if they stayed.
They had made a very effective protest and had reclaimed Pride as protest.
But somehow all of the mainsteam media covering the event managed to avoid
seeing several hundred people leading the protest and setting off flares.
