A path led down for a mile or so along Brandhill Gutter, turned north beside Alton Gutter and then up a steep climb of 60m to Aldon

It was a little clearer now, but still hazy in the distance as we walked down, going through Stoke Wood to Stokesay

Our only wet day, with a morning full of alternating light and heavy showers
Immediately after breakfast I to a short walk in the rain by the River Onny..
