Craven Arms

Church Stretton, Shropshire, Tue 16 Aug 2016

It was a long hot trudge along the mile or so of road

though there were still views into the distance. We were glad to turn off it onto a shady path where we found a good place to picnic

and a pig came to watch us from behind a fence

The path led on, but we turned west around the bottom of Caer Caradoc Hill

Three Fingers ROck and Caer Caradoc Hill (459 m - 1,506 ft)

A sunken (and slightly muddy even in the dry summer) road led back to Church Stretton

where we were able to enjoy an ice cream before the ride home.
It hadn't been a long walk, but on one of the hotter days of the year it had been quite tiring
