Democracy Camp takes the Square

 Russell Brand comes to speak

 and does so well, despite some audience scepticism

 

 

 

 

  While Russell was speaking, almost all of the police disappeared and the vans drove away. Perhaps there was a connection, perhaps not
 
but something made them decide to pull back, and I suspect it was the thought of the media coverage 

that Russell Brand would have undoubtedly have produced had they taken action at this time.  

Better to come back at dead of night after most of the press and TV have left they obviously thought. And did. 

But I had to leave before then for another event
