River Ash FloodsPriory Green, Staines, Middx. Mon 10 Feb 2014 |

![]() View north from Priory Green towards the railway ![]() ![]() The River Ash runs mainly under Priory Green before the parked cars ![]() There was an almost clear strip along the centre line of the road where I could walk without getting wet feet ![]() A rather expanded River Ash ![]() I hadn't put on waterproof shoes so I stopped a short distance along the road rather than get my feet wet ![]() There is a depth gauge here, but I've never been able to make much sense of it. ![]() It seems to be reading around 0.3, but the markings are only a few inches apart (perhaps at 10cm intervals.) ![]() I'd guess the post comes up around a metre from the current water level. ![]() |

![]() A narrow section of dry road ![]() Itls often muddy to the right, but seldom an actual lake ![]() ![]() Traffic was heavier than usual on Kingston Road, perhaps because Staines Bridge is still open while some others are close ![]() It is now a private river rather than a private road to Manor Place ![]() ![]() |
