Right To Work: Barclays

Westminster, Wed 4 Jul 2012

The pavement outside Parliament was quite crowded and it was hard to find a good place to protest

and they decided their next stop would be the nearby branch of Barclays, one of the big banks responsible

for the financial crisis, and in the news with Bob Diamond's resignation over the fixing of Libor.

A few of the group walked in, ignoring the protest of the security man

and one got out his sleeping bag

 and got into it,

and down onto the carpet, holding up the poster 'Cardboard City - Never Again'

while the protesters talked about the crisis and the bank's role in it - and the customers continued their business

At one point the security man tried to turn off the megaphone

but was stopped

and filmed by one of the protesters

after a short while the protesters left the bank peacefully

and continued their protest for a short while on the pavement outside
