Carnival of Dirt

St Paul's & the City, London. Fri 15 Jun 2012

Here there are more speeches about how mining companies despoil the environment, fuel wars, destroy homes....

10 million dead - and most of those in wars supported by the mining companies

We are told what goes on inside the London Metal Exchange that causes such misery and death around the world

The names of some of the activists who have been murdered organising people to stand up for their rights against

the mining companies in countries around the world are read and honoured by those taking part

The reading of names was followed by a two-minute silence, and then ashes were thrown at the London Metal Exchange

The carnival thenwalked to Altab Ali Park in Whitechapel for a picnic lunch - and the Occupy people put up a tent.
I was getting tired and decided to leave them and go home
