	Castle Drogo, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for the founder of Home and Colonial Stores Julius Drewe I can't help thinking it was a shame that Lutyens expended so much of his time and talents on this castle, fine in its way, superbly built in granite, but given an open brief perhaps Lutyens could have built a true masterpiece. Views across country from the front of the castle The whole building shows incredible attention to detail by Lutyens
	The kitchen is a superb working space and the scullery too It was raining a little as we walked through the gardens
