Block the Bridge NHS Protest

Westminster Bridge, London. Sunday 9 October 2011
 
 

 
      
 I photographed that embrodered banner 'NHS NOT FOR SALE' as well as many others

 Police were blocking access to Parliament Square from the bridge

 
 
 
      
Perhaps more a scrapbook than a placard but reflecting real worries about the future for those with disabilities 

 

Aneurin Bevan said "The NHS will last as long as there are folk left with the faith to fight for it" 

Among the protesters were many NHS workers
