	Students Against Cuts - Day 32 Parliament Square & Whitehall, London. Thursday 9 Dec 2010
	Large black clouds of smoke and flames brought many of us running to the northwest corner of the square  where some people had set fire to a security hut which had been overturned earlier in the afternoon
	Mandela joins in the protest  Dancing around Parliament Square  Some people had been trying to leave up Whitehall, but police decided to close it off  with riot police and police horses they pushed the crowd back  again I was threatened by police who refused to let the press through          Shortly after this I made my way back to Parliament Square. At one point I was again stopped by police who refused to let me through despite the area being completely calm at that time. A few yards further across the road where another officer was in charge I and others were able to walk through the line without showing my card, though I needed it again to pass through another line and onto Bridge St, from where I was able to make my way to catch a bus to Brixton.
