Al-Quds Day March & EDL Protest

Marble Arch to Grosvenor Square, London. 4 Sept 2010

As the march started, police surrounded a small group of EDL supporters at the side of Park Lane

preventing them from demonstrating against the march

 EDL supporters on Park Lane

are talked to by police who encourage them to move down to the pen provided for them

A police officer holds up his hand and tells marchers to stay calm

despite the EDL who are gesturing at them and shouting Islamophobic comments

Members of the demoncratic opposition in Iran were also protesting against the march

EDL portesters with variations on the English flag, as well as Israeli and Portuguese flags

were kept on the opposite side of the road by police, who prevented photographers from approaching them
