Defend Harrow Mosque

Harrow, London. Sunday 13 Dec 2009

At 2.50pm, Ajmal Masroor, a spokesman for the Harrow Central Mosque and Masood Islamic Centre, came

escorted by police to talk to the EDL/SIOE protesters

Police kept journalists and photographers back and it wasn't possible to hear what was said

and difficult to photograph the meeting, but it appeared to be resonably calm and civil

As Ajmal Masroor left he gave an interview to the press saying he had invited a small number of the protesters to

visit the mosque and talk over the issues, and that they had agreed they would do so

It was better he said to discuss things than to demonstrate
