LUNCHTIME IN THE CITY

This selection of pictures is taken from a larger body of work. They were shot on the streets and public areas of the City of London during the lunchtime period, from March 1990.

They are chanced upon off-beat moments of street theatre, where the actors are the city workers and occasional visitors set within the mechanised monotony of daily lunchtime routine, with the often drab backdrop of office building facias of stone, concrete and glass that makes up 'the Square Mile'.
